YEAR ONE BOA STAGE AND SCREEN
Skills development was the key educational pin point in year one. This part of the course provided me with the skills to be able to produce my ideas. Due to the vast content specification I got to have an opportunity in many areas of film and tv, which allowed me to find what I liked and what I didn't.

the first week at BOA stage and screen was all about testing what we knew and what we didn't. I came to the college knowing nothing about cameras but did have experience in coordination. these projects allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. the project ranged from creating short films with the new pieces of tech, to creating a music video and implementing structure and narrative.

For this Advertisement myself and 3 others chose to produce an advertisement for alton towers entertainments department. we working with the entertainments team who sit they wanted a video that would promote employment for the department. they would show this video at inductions and auditions to inspire new employees. This was the first project I directed and co-production managed.

This radio drama tested my editing and directing skills. this was great fun and as a group our first real introduction to creative freedom on our projects. we created this idea from scratch and turned it into a real project. we created, casted, recorded and edited this result from scratch.

This project was so fun to work on. We were split in half as a class and given a brief to create a multi-camera magazine show. as a group we decided to produce a show featuring four different segments, one being discombobulated blue planet which was produced by myself and 2 other students.

Single camera: This Country Remake | 8min 41sec
this single camera task was a great chance to collaborate with other creatives in the class. we had to recreate two scenes from this country which would test our tv making skills swell as our attention to detail. this taught us about maintaining professionalism on location and practicing skills we learnt in class such a set etiquette etc.
